Some nice old idents on the wall there. TVS and Meridian must be constantly annoyed, with Southern always being '*the* region that represents the south!

I wasn't realy watching as i was on the phone but did Chris ask Shirley Bassey to sing or something and she said she hadn't been asked ?.

Some good people there tonight. Nice to see Bob Holness again.

A lot of the clips were squashed though.

Is anyone else noticing that Chris Tarrant can't stand still?

It's dragging on waaay too long now.

I watched the 1st hour of it but then switched off. What with Lenny Henry's clip not showing, Chris Tarrant not standing still, Charlotte Church's dismal single and Shirley Bassey just standing there and not doing an acceptance speech or anything, it looked a bit unprofessional to me.

Its definally a unique evening of entertainment, I glad I didn't miss it.

I'm going to be hearing that Avenue of Stars sting in my sleep.

Cilla Black is brilliant. She should really have an ITV chat show. And she was very nice about ITV considering they dumped her ass.

She dumped her own ass didn't she, it was her who resigned from Blind Date live on air. She's probably being nice as she's realised she can't continue working on such channels as LivingTV for the rest of her life and wants to get back on proper TV!

I wonder what Brucie's opinion is of Nigel Pickard. I know he fell out big time with David Liddiment, but he isn't there anymore. Just wait till the Strictly balloon bursts, he'll be back on ITV then!

Did she mention ITV? i don't recall her saying thanks, It was all about Paul! I wouldn't surprise me if she got a chat show. ITV seem to be giving them out to anyone and everyone these days

And now they're giving a star to Corrie...Pathetic. ITV probably only agreed to screen this thing on the condition Corrie & Ant & Dec were recognised

Well i couldn't care less about Ant and Dec, but the fact that Corrie has lasted as an almost daily show for 45 years and still get so many viewers is most definitely worth celebrating i think.

I agree Cilla is a true star.A nice Sat night chat show with her would be just superb.
