As far as I know, the original episodes of The Mint (australia) were broadcast live from the Maidstone Studios, Kent, hence the set was the same.
There has been a bit of a hoo-ha though over the credit sequence as ITV Productions didn't give them permission to use it - bit obvious it's the UK version - look at the Transit's reg plate. Also KPM aren't happy as they didn't ask them for permission to use the Library Music they are using as beds, theme and underscores.

Good old Channel Nine!
If it's library music anyone can use it for whatever they want regardless of country - that's how it works. As to the titles, someone had to press play on the tape so if they're letting them use the set, then why not the titles?
KPM didn't give Nine permission to use the music - and the beds are the same - I have most of them here.
Also the title sequence is copyright ITV Productions, and again, didn't give permission on Nine to use them. ITV Productions did film a seperate version, however Nine deceided not to use them as they looked 'too generic for Australian viewers'.

Slightly off thread but new look make your play tonight
Still off topic:
Not that much of a new look. The graphics have changed from blue to purple. The only thing that looks silly is the green still used on "Make" and "Play" in the titles. It doesn't fit in anymore.
EDIT:
ITV2 still using old titles to introduce MYP.
