Anyway, I am sure that the network feed from Seven would have the same credits for all of Australia and SCT gets the network feed as well.
I think they do. With sevens generic credits usually containing promos of shows they may not show or are not comming up 'NOW' they usually get cut and are not shown at all.
thats what happens when you cant decide which network you want to affiliate with.
I thought that during Daylight Savings Time, Tassie is in fact an hour ahead of NSW/VIC (ie. at 7pm Melbourne time it's 8pm in Tassie). Therefore, how can they be taking the network feed, unless Seven plays it out early and delays it to the 'home' states - and I doubt they'd do that for the sake of Southern Cross Tasmania, who don't actually take the full schedule.
I heard that Tasmania is in fact running shows like H&A a week behind the main Seven network, and that the reason is because they're not allowed to play these shows before Melbourne/Sydney do? That said, GWN and 7 Perth showed H&A last Thursday, when in all other states it was postponed to Friday because of extended tennis coverage. Has this 'ruling', if indeed there is one, changed?
Am I right in assuming that live sport coverage (like the tennis) actually goes out 'live' countrywide - rather than the states in other time zones getting a delayed feed? Other live shows like the finals of Idol, Big Brother, and Dancing with the Stars don't go out live except in states on a par with Melbourne time-wise? So in fact people in Perth just have to check the internet or call a friend in the Eastern States to find out the winner, long before it has been announced on-air!
Tasmania is the same time as the NSW and Victoria in Daylight savings, but they start a month earlier. If they were up to the same point in H&A as the mainland markets, when Tasmania starts Daylight saving before NSW/Vic, new H&A eps would be shown an hour before the eastern states would see the episode, and under network guidelines, Regional affiliates aren't allowed to screen a program or an episode of a program before it's shown in the capital city markets.
7 Perth and GWN did show H&A before the rest of tho country last week but it was probably because the day's Live tennis coverage had finished, or the Perth programmer changed the schedule to suit the local market. GWN being in Western Australia probably just followed suit. Another reason is Perth/WA might have had a local program to be shown on Friday night so they were able to bring the H&A double ep forward a night.
Most of the big sporting events are shown Live, but some are played out on delay. It just depends what it is. Live shows like Big Brother, Dancing etc are always on delay so they're not being shown outside of Primetime in the Western states.
