Does anyone know the new address for austvhistory?

My parents and grandparents watch it and sometimes I do, but not regularly. It's kind of lost it a bit with the soap opera style writing instead of the one-off drama episodes.

Some of the old idents on that site remind me strongly of early-1990s Sky... very American.

I know this is one for the Newsroom, but I see Seven use the NBC Nightly News theme tune for their news bulittens?

Are ad's in Oz the same style as British TV or US Style?
Also does the idents get played before Programming, and has 7 ditched local idents?

Ads are done US style - six breaks an hour with no ads at programme junctions.

Seven have ditched local idents. All the Seven markets are played out from the Digital Broadcasting Centre in Melbourne (with appropriate time delays). Nothing is played out from local stations; regional news is fed into Melbourne who insert it into the appropriate feed.

Affiliate stations without 'Seven' branding (Prime, GWN) get a clean feed of the shows and insert their own idents and promos.

Thanks Si-Co, because I noticed on aus.tv.history was the new 7 Idents don't have any indication that it's a local program.

I don't know about you but 7's current presentation package is not really good.
IMO 9 and Southern Cross Idents are better.

Seven's presentation should go back to the one in 2003/2004, which was copied from FOX in USA. It was good and better than a midget (sorry, "small people") television.
