Some of the stuff I've sent in is also featured. So that will mean there is some News 24 cock-ups on the show.
It's all new stuff so worth a watch!
Good to hear! Is all of News 24's output taped or do you just stick a VHS in when something interesting happens?

Cheers, Asa

At least some of it must be taped as how else would they get the breaking the news trailer?

I assume a key clip will be the one of the floor manager bringing the scripts on in the middle of a bulletin and Chris Eakin watching with disbelief..

I look forward to seeing that one!

Were you watching at the time?

Ive always wanted to be watching when something happens but it never does!

The funniest clip for me would be when Peter Coe and that other man were reviewing the papers when he jumped over the desk.

Indeed I was.

The great thing about Chris Eakin is that when things go wrong he actually explains why they went wrong, rather than just pretending to ignore them, as his co-presenter did at the time.

In this instance he explained that the papers she had put on the desk were for the news summary at half past.

Without wanting to spark off this entire News 24 vs Sky debate again, something that has always annoyed be about the News 24 presenters is that they can never seem to laugh off mistakes!
Valerie Sanderson - whilst an excellent anchor - doesn't laugh off some of the mistakes they make.
The worst example being when she was presenting with someone I can't remember and in her usual chirpy voice said 'this is BBC News 24... coming up' - expecting the thunderclap. Well, the thunderclap didn't come, for a whole 30 seconds.
Both presenters were left sitting in a stunned silence until the guy said 'err a..' then came the thunderclap!
Neither of them laughed about it after the sting had played, which just makes it so much more dull!
News 24 could be a lot more friendly if they got the weather presenter in the studio and the sports presenter - moved the evening presenters because (without wanting to be rude) they are just too stuck-up for my liking and just made friendly banter a bit more... normal.
Just helps to break down the constant flow of news. I can understand the BBC wanting to maintain its repuation of being 'the accurate one', but surely you can be accurate and have a bit of fun?

Yes, Look North is a hot topic here! Its becuase most of the member live in that region! I try and mention North West Today as much as I can, however, people outside of the region have no chance of watching it, with it not being steamed on the net.
