An Audience with Joe Pasquale

Well congratulations to Granada for murdering yet another old favourite of mine. No offence to Joe Pasquale but he was a two joke comedian in the 1990's and he's a no joke comedian today. And half of the audience haven't been on TV for years (mainly thanks to ITV for dropping them in the first place). And since when did that fat cow from Wife Swap become a Star.

Having watching An Audience With Billy Connelly & Bob Monkhouse recently in ITV3 the stark contrast between the two is astounding.

And hey I really can't wait of Parkinson later tonight and that fantastic interview with Twiggy!

If they want to bring back some old comdians how about Brian Connelly, Bradly Walsh or maybe a legend like Frank Carson. Once again Reality TV takes over the schedule and kills it.

I'm not sure who is sadder... Joe Pasquale for such an appalling performance; ITV executives for being so desperately short of real talent; the faded TV celebs for doing their best to laugh to camera or me for sitting in on a Saturday night and watching it! ...and Jeremy Beadle asks Joe whether he thinks TV standards are falling!!!!

I tried to watch but I think the Gerbil song did it for me, p*ss poor TV.

It's a little known fact that audiences for An Audience With live in the studio and are only allowed out for 20 minute intervals. Cheryl Baker, Toyah Willcox, Gareth Hale (from Hale and Pace) and Linda Lusardi have been in the same seats since 1987.

LOL! The lovely Miss Gloria Hunniford has been in a few too... now what I want to know was where the heck Wincey Willis was?

Budgets have been stripped to the bone , and the only way things will improve is if Joe Public stops watching it. I bet even Joe Pasquale didn't watch it ! All those stupid cut-aways of 3rd rate celebs full of martinis laughing their heads off at 4th rate jokes ( I'm being kind here - poor Joe ). It's all done in London you know , if this sort of garbage was proposed for one of the regions it would never see the light of day . Has anyone here ever been to a London show - they applaud any bloody thing .
That's why they have so many shows up there - unfortunately , it's too late for itv , it's going down the Chas Allen cost cutting pan.

I agree with TVF .... Its a shame Joe Pasquale has now been thrown into the Reality TV laughter bin with the rest of them! He doesn't deserve it. I don't think he should have done Audience with..!

I have to agree, after watching An Audience with...Freddie Starr (yes, he had his moments ) from 1996 on ITV3 last night. I was also amazed at the not-so-different audience - both had Vanessa 'I'm a loud gob, anything for TV' Feltz, Melvyn 'I'm there if you need me' Hayes, and Gloria 'its a free night out for me' Hunniford..to name a few! We had nearly every Celebrity Fit Club/I'm a Celebrity member there! To be honest, they should put the general public at the front and had the celebs at the back in the future.

I'm going to hate ITV1 in 20 years if this is the way things are going..what next An Audience With...Lizzy Bardsley! - and IF I SEE THAT BARDSLEY 'WIFE SWAP' WOMAN ONCE MORE...!!! Its NOT FAIR on others that she gets star attention!

This really is the lowest of the low using Reality TV stars for cheap entertainment, ITV!! There are legends out there just being pushed aside!

Its like cleaning an already clean loo with a dirty bog brush!
