SCHEDULE CHANGES:
There doesn't seem to have been many schedule changes as a result of this.

ITV1 had a news special on Monday night instead of Mr Bean and have shortened regional news programmes to begin the Evening bulletins 5 minutes early. There is a news special on BBC1 tonight in place of Only Fools and Horses at 7.30pm.

I've not noticed any programmes that have been pulled due to content because of the disaster, and there are not many films on over the next week that look like they will be affected.

The 2 minute appeal was shown straight after the News Special on BBC1 and after 60 Seconds on BBC 3. It'll also be on BBC 2 before Dead Ringers, and BBC 4 later.

The David Dimblebey one appeared on Channel 4 at 7.55pm, and then as dvboy said, it appeared on BBC Three at 8pm after an extended 60 Seconds.

It seems to have worked. I tried to make a donation on the website they listed, and it is maxed out with users. Lets hope those are people donating Smile

how can the bbc make 60 seconds longer than 60 seconds, i know it is for a good cause but they should show it after the 7O'Clock news.

Well this isn't the first time they have extended 60 seconds, they usually do so when serious news is concerned, I remember they regularly did this when the Queen mother died a couple of years ago. Plus isn't The 7 O'Clock News off air right now?

Err - they didn't extend 60 Seconds... Dunno where you got that idea from. The only difference seemed to be that there were no closing titles, with the 60 Seconds presenter linking directly into the appeal.

Because BBC Three don't have live continuity announcers (it is all pre-recorded) I guess this was a neat way of providing a link into the appeal?

The ITV News Channel have just aired the Appeal featuring Trevor Mcdonald and then had a silent ITV News graphic before going to the break.

At least someone at ITV News has got an inclination of when music and festive graphics are necessary!

PS - whilst im at it - does anyone else think that SKY¦News should stop playing that movie on the wall behind them of the waves crashing?
When 911 happened I shuddered everytime I saw the planes impact into the building and news channels didnt show the impact much after a day or two and focused on other areas. Everytime I now see those waves crashing behind the presenters it's making me feel very sad! Maybe if the image was a static image wouldnt make it as bad.

Sky News has aired its own JT version of the appeal programme tonight too.

ITV replaced Christmases from Hell with You've Been Framed on Tuesday night, and Hallmark pulled a film - "10.5".

I notice on Kirsty's Xmas Home Videos on SKY¦Mix last night that there was still indeed some footage of people getting splashed by a wave crashing behind them!

How far do we need to go in censorship and removing offending items?

sky mix is a channel that shows the best of sky one, sky remove offending items on their mainstream channels only, they review all programmes for sky one before showing it but if they reviewed all programmes on sky mix that would mean having to hire an extra team which would cost more, meaning that the sky fee would have to go up. it would be too much trouble for sky just for one video.
