Why the hell is there a DOG on this?

Not as if their pictures are gunna be pinched a day after it's happened

I wonder if all the studio analysts is going to be a rushed 5 minute chat over crowd noise.

I haven't seen the highlights yet (videoed them!), but there was a Channel 9 dog on the internet feed and I wondered if they would leave that on the TV version. They obviously haven't though!

Was it in 16:9?

Yes it was

I'm afraid i'm not a big fan of Manish Bhasin's presenting. The problem is a presenter needs to be relaxed, or at least appear relaxed. But he seems to be pretty uptight and struggles to get his words out. Would of much, much prefered Mark Pougatch to do it - who's out there for Five Live.

Is Channel 9's coverage produced by Sunset + Vine as well? Their graphics seem exactly like Channel 4's but in green.

hi first post

im wondering does anyone know what the piece of music is that sky sports use to accompany their lead-ins to commercial breaks, or when the scorecard is being shown?

many thanks if anyone can identify it for me.

Interesting that at the end of the BBC highlights it says "Pictures by arrangement with Sky Sports", but the feed and commentators they're using are from Channel 9!

It's because Sky own the UK rights and have sublicenced them to the BBC for highlights.

Sky commentators who are on Channel 9 as well are on the BBC highlights e.g. David Lloyd.

Could this be the most important series in Cricket history - it's not just the Ashes up for grabs, but possibly the future of cricket on British TV.

C4 said they won't be bidding again after being dumped in favour of Sky, and while the BBC have shown an interest in live test matches, they have also stated there are scheduling issues which have to be overcome. I can't imagine cricket being on ITV, while I doubt five have the cash for full rights either.
