Ashes To Ashes

I spotted a trail for Ashes To Ashes this morning on BBC1. The 1981 mirror globe (pre-Sep 81) was seen on a TV screen.

I'm wondering if this means it's going to be a recurring fantasy element in the series in the same way that Test Card Girl was in Life On Mars? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Would be great to see a widescreen version of the same globe introducing the show - though let's hope they actually produce a version that looks like the original this time(!) I'm sure mulder would happily lend his reconstruction....and I wonder if Cardiff will be getting their old globe out of the cupboard again?

I haven't got the series 2 DVD of LoM yet but did they include the globe on the DVD release or not?

Can't wait for Ashes to Ashes, gives me something to watch on TV again (apart from TV Burp of course)

Basically, the server it's on was run by a guy called John Thackeray, who let me have the space for a one-off fee of £30. It was never going to last forever I suppose, but 2 years isn't bad considering I had all the space I could want.

He now works for Red Bee and has no time to run the server service. He still pays to keep the servers online, but I don't think he's going to renew the 'j-one' domain, so when that runs out, that's it from what I gather. On top of that, I can't log in to remove the site or any of my other files on the server. My password just suddenly stopped working.

Other sites on the server have been left alone since 2006, and one forum on there is filled with porn spam, so it's probably best I move on. I think TV Fetish is going to help out to keep some of the content online though, so all is not lost, and the YouTube page is doing ok.

Really looking forward to this. I wonder if a Futura mirror globe will be used to introduce the programme like the last series of LoM (which used a 1972 blue on black globe)
