Yes it was good to see him on Reporting Scotland again, he is a very confident presenter. I think he must be like a 'relief' newsreader as he does seem to move around quite a bit. He does stints on BBC LDN and on BBC Scotland - sometimes within the same week!
Is Jackie Bird on holiday at the moment? I arrived back in Scotland on 2nd August and have not seen her yet. I am due to leave on Sunday so guess I shall not be seeing her this time. She is a fantastic newsreader!
She is a good presenter but in my opinion the programe and herself need a change. I quite like to see Asad become the main male newsreader, David Robertson is a little dull in my opinion.
No doubt this thread will be locked up but I just wanted to jump in to defend Jackie before it goes!
She is a brilliant host of the show. Clearly the most relaxed (although David is also very good), and she injects more humour than any of the rest. I dont how anyone could call her stuffy. You obviously dont watch the show regularly enough.
Before the thread is closed ,who is the new girl on RPS she is very good but sometimes seems to be nervous and makes it obvious when she takes a breath .Sometimes it's a gulp in the middle of a sentence .
