Not sure how easy it really is to buy the rights from someone else but the first thing they should sort out is www.skynews.com rather than have sky.com/news. Don't know why but for me it just doesn't role of the tounge.
I remember ages ago they got the right to sky.com which at the time was the most amount of money a UK company paid for a domain - something like a million quid!

All true indeed, as Macropolo carried The Now Channel but when it changed to Sky News they carried on with 'Sky Arts' at the weekend.
But saying that Sky Arts should have been one of the many channels originally promised on Astra when Sky launched as a whole back in February 1989, yet it never materialized, same goes for The Disney Channel, that was promised as early as 1989, but I think it didn't launch until 1995 or so.

It was more than that and it was from Sky Computers in NY State as I recall.
Many companies have paid alot more for domain names or telephone numbers. I'm not gonna say how much my employer paid for theirs, but it was more than that!!!!
