That'd be the North Bridge surely.
Yes you're perfectly correct, my mistake.

I'd love to see the next item being shown coming along the conveyer belt in a very 'Generation Game' type of way... Cuddly toy anyone.
Even their phone number looks similar to QVCs!
Agree with whoever said they should have made the set a mock-up of an Argos store.

Good point. It does have a tiny car park and would probably be a nightmare at weekends, though it did save me earlier this week when I had to replace an iron that melted and tried to electrocute me in an overly dramatic fashion.
Seems like they are trying to breathe some new life into the tired Straiton retail park (the old bit with the Homebase in it). Surprised at how many units there are there now, and also even more suprised that Asda are building a store on the other side of IKEA - like, almost next Sainsbury's.
Wonder if Midlothian Council will try and come up with a zany new street name to rival "Costkea Way".
Getting back to Argos, there's one at Craigleith which is alright - next to that huge Sainsbury's that's just been refurbed and expanded. Kinnaird Park is just yuckky and that whole area suffers major traffic problems at the weekends, despite being fairly underwhelming.
I don't think the traffic for Ikea is actually that noticeable these days but I remember when it first opened and the huge queue of cars snaking round the perimeter in the Ikea only lane!
The Homebase to Halfords stretch of Straiton really is a depressing sight with so many closed down furniture shops - it is great that they are finally modernising it. They are planning on building a department store with multi storey car park next to the Argos part so that should hopefully alleviate the busyness of car park there.
I was also surprised at the Asda so near Sainsbury's - which incidentally will be expanding soon.
Sorry to take this so off topic!
Don't you get caught in the Ikea traffic though?

QVC's lighting has never impressed me I must say. Often on the dodgy clothing bits at night there are far too many shadows behind the models.
Also could their coathangers be any cheaper?
QVC used to look a lot better. In the early days it had very high craft values. It inherited BSB's studio infrastructure at MarcoPolo house, which was analogue component (and used, I think, the last generation of Sony tubed cameras - the BVP360 - which were probably some of the best ever made, alongside the Link equivalent, if you ignore the dodgy Link data system) and very well engineered by all accounts.
AIUI QVC have since gone for more automated production systems, and I suspect "one size fits all" lighting.

(unlike QVC and Ideal World which generally have quite high production values).

Lol it's weird you should say that I used to work in an Argos store in the management and I also made a similar comment to an Area Manager, but back in 2008 it seemed to have gone no further til now, shame am not likely to receive any royalities either hehehehe
Worked in Argos two years ago, I suggested this idea! Still waiting credit for it!

Didn't any of you suggest vacuuming the carpets?
