From the archives - YTV / CITV / ITN

Bit bored this afternoon so I've been looking through my tape archive in the Squat.  Uncovered a few rare treats that I thought I might share with you, including

a couple of old YTV clocks

some CITV footage on the first day it moved to 3:30pm.  (Remember, they used to have CITV programmes at weekday lunchtimes)

some old ITN and Calendar footage

I'll put a few images on here for us to look at, there will be many in the Square Eyes Archive on my website soon.  

Somebody mention Teletubbies ?? These guys were around long before.

SQUARE EYES SPECIAL

Right I've started to put some stuff up on my webspace, rather than filling the forum with pics.  There are shots from a generic ITV trail, shots a from YTV trail (from the 3D spinning chevron 'Channel 3' era) and the YTV movie ident from the early 90's.  REAL MEDIA WILL FOLLOW FOR THESE.

I've unearthed so much stuff this afternoon, and it will all be going into the squat over the coming weeks.  I've got

- Calendar Stuff - old pics of John Shires / Alan Hardwick from Calendar East
- Lots of CITV
- ITV Sport Stuff with Matt Lorenzo, Big Fight with Gary Newbon.
- ITV / YTV Trailers
- ITN (blue newsroom)
- YTV Weather
- ITV Movies ads (when they were sponsored by Diet Coke)

It's all early 90's, I think.

God, that's like my life motto now i'm 15!

Can I see the Citv stuff please? Also, what was the date of that ident?

I think it all relates to early 90's unless anyone out there knows any different (it is definately after Tommy Boyd presenting era).  I have CITV stuff from the day they moved to 3:30pm, and the lunchtime programmes were scrapped.  I will be updating the website during the course of the week so check back in a few days.
