T4 did a Grandstand style scrap when Steve Jones interviewed Hollyoak's Tom Cunningham and asked a few questions which weren't appropriate for a 7 year old - with his chaperone then bursting on to set to challenge Steve, thumping him off the sofa!

Plus, he posted it after midnight in the British Summer Timezone, so he did it before the 12 noon deadline.

the best one today was on Real radio Scotland where there Pretend it was Monday morning and a lot of People where fooled!
with people thinking I slept for 24 hours! arrragh!

It's been done before - Chris Tarrant and his weekday breakfast team at Capital FM went on air on April Fools' Day 1995, which was a Saturday, fooling listeners into thinking it was still the previous day, Friday 31st March.

A lot of them fell for it too!

You can only really do that when it falls on a weekend. Years ago I was in Florida and heard a radio station's groveling apology to its listeners for doing something similar on a workday (I think that they changed their timechecks). It caused all sorts of chaos

Really? What kind of chaos? Why didn't people in Florida just look at a clock/watch?

A few others I noticed: -

- In the Mail on Sunday, BMW has its customary once a year prank - it was about car messaging called "RUSE".

- The Independent had some article about a certain plant having an 'effect' on men who supposedly ate it.

The Sunday Star had one about new Tesco trolleys which were motor operated & the user had to where a crash helmet Laughing
