Just been watching The Apprentice tonight (13th April).

Looks like next weeks programme will be a task on selling stuff on Ideal World shopping channel.

Didn't know that this would be happening, managed to keep that one quiet.

Would be interesting to see how they deal with the task and the production crew at Ideal World. (May give insight in someone wanting a career in TV selling? i think not)

Well seeing as this week's task was filmed over the weekend of the 25th of September, I guess it was some time ago!

The Apprentice with Donald Trump had a task of selling live on QVC USA.

which has been leading me to wonder, why hasn't anything leaked out yet?

Because the cast, crew and contestants have kept their mouths shut..... and the winner apparently hasn't been decided yet

Yes according to the papers the final two have both been paid for the last few months and a winner has yet to be decided. They were worried the result would leak out if they had already chosen them.

What are the ratings like? I've gotta say I'm really enjoying the show.

Not sure what the audience is like, but I suspect it's risen during the series. It seems to be one of those rare things in that everyone seems to fall into 2 camps: those who haven't seen The Apprentice.... and those who love it!

Over the past few weeks I've been discovering more and more people I know who are watching it. It seems to be a very very subtle success

Ratings started out around the 2 million mark (up against Jamie's School Dinners) but then rose to a series high of 3.1million a couple of weeks ago (after Jamie's School Dinners had finished).

Since then it's gone down a bit, with the latest episode attracting 2.5 million, now with the new C4 competition of Grand Designs.

It's still performing very well in a very competitive spot across terestrial TV....it's a great programme and I fancy the viewer appreciation index is high....good chances of a second series.

I certainly hope that the Beeb make a second series, I've thoroughly enjoyed the programme so far, and I hope they bring back "Dragons Den" as well, that was great too.

Yes same here. Take BBC Drama and Business and 9 times out of 10 its highly watchable.

I can genuinely say its the only reality show I've ever watched *all the way through* - ie. for other stuff typically I may see the first episode or two and then get disinterested, or watch the end of it to see who wins / what everyone else is talking about.

The book's quite interesting too.

I saw the beginning of a channel 4 show about reality TV the other week which said there were now 160 different reality shows on British TV a year. ***160*** ??
