If there is anyone here who works at bskyb, or knows someone who does, could you please try to get me the font that was used in the Sky Travel ident.

That font is cool...

The one used in the previous Sky travel ident was Optimum, the one used now, as far as I am aware is a custom made font like previous years.

Thank you, i was aware it was custom made, thats why only an insider can get access to it, please, i would gladly offer my web and flash design services to anyone who can get it for me, its only for my personal use, not for any corporate purposes.

Well I've searched for it on a really good font site by uploading an image of it, but they don't have it. And it's never failed me yet, so you're right, only an insider could get it I think. Shame, I wouldn't mind it either!

On the subject of fonts, I searched high and low for the font used on Sky Box Office (with the funny e), and I recently found it. If anyone else wants it, feel free to email me- philip.towers@ic24.net.

If you wish to conceal your identity PM me or e-mail me, i promise not to reveal your identity.

That fact of the matter is you cannot simply wander in and pick up the font.
You would have to ask the guys (and girls!) in graphics, and even then they would want to know why.

Phil, could you tell me the address of the website that you use for searching for fonts please?

Thanks,

No probs, it's www.myfonts.com, although the fonts aren't free on it. So, my top tip is to find the fonts you want and then use a search engine to find them elsewhere. Oh yeah, to search using an image with the font on it, go to 'What the Font', at the top of the first page.
