The lead in a new West End production of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be found by a television search show, the BBC has announced.

The new search follows Connie Fisher's success as Maria in The Sound of Music after she won a BBC1 show.

The show, called Any Dream will Do, will search for a Joseph for the new Andrew Lloyd Webber production.

Lord Lloyd Webber, an expert panel and viewers will also look for a girl to play the narrator and a Pharaoh/Elvis.

Graham Norton, who hosted How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, will also host the follow-up show.

Lord Lloyd Webber said: "The success of How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? this summer was a real boost for musical theatre in Britain and I was particularly thrilled with the reaction from schoolchildren up and down the country.

"I cannot wait to get them involved in Any Dream Will Do and to get back into the studio with Graham.

It won't be long until you have to go through a television show just to get a passport!

Taking the positives though where you can at least the BBC have decided there isn't room for this and Strictly Dance Fever in the schedules!

Yes, as the places you Copy & Paste from don't mix up "there" and "they". Well, I wouldn't quite say mix up, as I don't think I've ever seen you use the word "they".

Oh no here we go. How long is reality TV going to last? My lifetime I think not! Evil or Very Mad

The word was used once by him, when he was explaining why he didn't use the word...

It certainly is at ITV.

They've announced they're going to do a show to find the lead parts for Grease.

their 'new' program,Fortune seems v. similar to C4's secret millionaire...a person pitches to 3 judges why they deserve a share of £1m. the judges choose who is most deserving. hmm...a millionaire chooses which person is most deserving...hmm...

No - they may take a core element from reality TV (i.e. the weekly elimination format) but they are still talent shows in my book!

What annoys me even more though is how some documentaries are now considered reality TV.

look - we know that they can't help it, there is no point interrupting their threads, to point out that that indeed the topic starter has dyslexia. It is not relavent to the topic. That is all.

P.S.: This is my four-hundredth post!
