I've just saw a promo for the show, with Antony talking about it, then asking the guests if they wanted a cup of tea...

He seems to have a healthy balance of guests except for that Ray Quinn geezer.

Caught 2 mins before the break at 17:22(ish) and from what I can see the set is an improvement on the one used in the pilot. The interviews don't seem too bad, or at least the one I'm watching at the moment, could be worse. It might have done the show a favour of it getting bad reviews from the pilot as based on that it seems an improvement.

A few screen captures...

It's hard to know what to make of the programme based on what I've seen so far. I'll probably reserve judgement until later in the week, as first shows tend not too be as smooth and often refinements are made later on. Though the disco DJ seems to be a pointless gimmick (last screen capture), as its only used into the breaks.

I agree. There are aspects that I like (sort of) and parts that I hate. I like the studio, and the graphics. I don't like the cheesy theme tune or the DJ.
It is the first show, so Antony is quite nervous. I will wait until later on in the week to give my full opinion.

I was beginning to wonder if we were straying into Graham Norton territory with the end of show game. The game/task was painting onto canvas using the body. One of the contestants asked if they could use any parts of the body, and were told 'within reason as this is a family teatime show'.

It was ok actually. Even though i was doing lots of other stuff at the same time. As watching/listening to it. Quite a nice teatime chat show.

One wonders if ITV mean for us to laugh AT Antony, because he is so camp, rather than with him. Just as we did with Larry Grayson. There have already been complaints that Sean was an unfair gay stereotype.

Well that explains why you were so slow on MSN, what with putting the dinner on, another load in the washing machine, rescuing Mouse from the shed roof, fielding weird texts and chatting to me I'm surprised we got through a sentence never mind the whole Cotton Show! Shocked

Ms H, did you actually see anything apart from the titles and credits? Laughing

the set is an odd layout with two rows of audience in front of the camera run

Suprised it wasn't a generic ITV background for the credits.. It was a orange background with red font. Looked quite nice.

The studio was better than the one used in the pilot, obviously they spent more on it as the show got the go-ahead.

It wasn't that bad.. Well I only managed to catch it from 5.30pm onwards.

Did he sing at the start like he did on the pilot?
