This is exactly my point. IMO Anthony Cotton is egotistical, rude and vile in real life, a Radio 1 interview proved that.

I much prefer Antony to "Sean Tully", I think he suits presenting this show much more than playing Sean in Corrie.

There's a difference? Shocked I can't see any - I thought Sean was Antony & Antony was Sean. Rolling Eyes

His show is probably the single worst show on ITV1 at the moment. Which is quite an achievement.

By his own admittance in interviews, Sean is an exaggerated version of AC. He reckons he less confrontational than Sean, and "quieter" when going about his daily business outside work. He also reckons he isn't as camp as Sean.

Less confrontational? His interview in Now magazine and his interview in The Guardian would both disagree with that statement.

That's what he said in some interview a couple of years ago Laughing . The writer's surname was Dunn though, any relation we wonder (Dunn is Cotton's real surname, Cotton is his mother's maiden name, thence his stage name).

Maybe he's being nice to fans, since his ratings are on the slide Twisted Evil

No. It was only a short Newsbeat interview.

I have to admit after having Brian Conley on the show with a clip from his show has made me like this show very much now. Very Happy Wink

Shame its not been presented by Brian, I caught his bit flicking through the channels. Just it just shows Cotton up for the talentless plonk he is everytime a far more talented guest is on the set.

Why not just bring back "The Brian Conley Show" as it was in 1992-1995 or so - it was a wicked show and could easily go out on Saturday nights again like before!

Because whilst Brian has been kindly welcomed to the BBC, ITV don't like to show programmes that people like. I've tried to persuade them many times to show repeats but they have since declined... I know one person can't make a difference but it's worth a try.

However, look at this!

Brian is an absolute genius, surely ITV must have approached him at some point, after all the years of success he had, not only with the brian conley show (with sketches), but also the series where it became a chat show. Also after how well he's fronted Let Me Entertain You, and for how he was the best fill in for Paul O'Grady, better in some areas (most probably why they haven't had him back yet).

Maybe he doesn't fancy doing a chat show again, wasn't that the reason that they created that Saturday night game show thing for him in the first place that was cancelled after 3 episodes?

isn;t there anything else bar chatshow that could be used to provide a daytime listings?
