I was sort of watching one of his shows the other day. I quite like him, but, he was interviewing a magician and he seemed to control the show more than Anthony C. I think that perhaps once AC gets the hang of this presenting malarky he could be a bit good. He's good infront of the cameras a relatively good actor, he has charisma charm and confidence. He just needs to be able to work the audience and guests to get the best from them. A little bit more experience and i think he could crack it.

I get what you mean, I presume that the magician was Stephen Mulhern, who has plenty more experience at presenting than Antony, but as you said, he should be good, he just needs to get into it.
I was in the audience for this on Tuesday afternoon and it was shown on tv yesterday. The show was ok, interviews were the best parts to it. Guests were Malcolm Hebden from Corrie and Tricia Penrose from Heartbeat. Found Malcolm's interview really good but maybe thats because im a huge Corrie fan. I havent seen the show yet but it took about 1 hour and a half to record, so I guess there will be lots of editing.
Antony records this show on Sundays (1 show), Mondays (2 shows) and Tuesdays (2 shows) so none of the shows are live. He must film Corrie Wed-Friday.

Thanks for that Jez, clear not "live" then I watched said episode, and it was one of the better ones. R Ian still isn't impressed though..

No none of the shows are live. It took about 1 and a half hours to record it, they edited quite a bit out of the interviews - Malcolm talked about when he was in Soapstar Superchef and they cut that out completely.
I read R Ian's commnents in the NOTW today. lol. I dont think Antony's show is that bad actually. And Antony IMO was very nice, I saw him outside the studios after the show and he signed autographs and had photos with fans even though he had just finished filming 2 episodes of his show. I was very impressed with him actually.
