Never mind "Neil Patrick Harris's Wednesday Night Take Out". If they want to keep the host's name in the title, it only really works with shorter titles.
"Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway" is still a bit of a mouthful, even if your suggestion beats it my two syllables.
"Wednesday night take-out" doesn't really have the same kind of ring to it as Saturday Night Takeaway does it?

It depends how you pronounce Wednesday - I counted three more syllables. I find that "Ant and Dec's" trips off the tongue more too.

Ditto. And that's about the most exciting thing I can say about this thread.
I read it as "NBC Fail"...

You can see the full title sequence near the start of this video:
And it is nearly shot for shot a recreation of the Saturday Night takeway titles, with it even making use of the TV channel's headquarters! It doesn't make use of a vocal anywhere though.

Strictly Come Dancing was changed to Dancing With the Stars because Come Dancing isn't known outside the UK. Spooks got renamed MI5 because they don't call spies "spooks" there, in fact it's a racist derogatory term. What other examples are there? Shows such as Family Fortunes and Play Your Cards Right (Family Feud and Card Sharks) were actually us renaming the American shows, which seems to be more common. Celebrity Squares being changed from Hollywood Squares was justified of course, because the celebs aren't from Hollywood.
USA is well know for changing uk tv show names.

Two other sitcom examples - Steptoe and Son became Sandford and Son, Man About The House became Three's Company.
