You Bet returning would be most likely out of that list, and it would be a great vehicle for Ant and Dec to move on from Takeaway. I believe they've already made a pilot of a US version of You Bet - though ironically it seems to be only Britain's number one* TV presenters that can't get a job on US television.
*of course that's debatable, but thinking about it the debate probably wouldn't last too long
The ratings are still solid for Ant and Dec it's just that it doesn't have a leg up from The X Factor like other series have had. I don't watch it as I see it as a rip off of Noel's House Party but it's not like it's tanking.
I take it this is the last series of
Saturday Night Takeaway
, and after the next series of
I'm a Celebrity
that is too? I'd like to see
PokerFace
return.

It is struggling to be "fresh" now it has to be said, but clearly ratings are still doing well. I think when Saturday Night Takeaway goes it'll spell the end to an era of Saturday night TV - Ant and Dec enjoy it but admit they find it tiring even now they're only in their 30s!

Noel started doing House Party in his 40's I think. Maybe it should be given a break for a year and then brought back. But it still gets good ratings for ITV so they'll want to keep it going for as long as possible.
I don't think that the show is dated, but it's the fact that for the first few years ideas were coming and going, and it feels like the majority of these features have been going for a few series (obviously it doesn't help the fact that the series are so short).
Maybe they should look to bringing back some older features with newer ones, and take time on features, rather than rushing through too many things.
They updated the titles, but they've never updated the set which I find strange. I know that totally changing a show doesn't always work, but maybe it's got its advantages to making a show feel different.
A break probably would do it good - I think a couple of years ago there was about 18 months between two series.
I also kind of think it suffers from having had such short runs recently. Usually when programmes are feeling a bit tired you might blame too many episodes, but I think the opposite might be true here as in the six episode runs aren't really allowing the show to really establish itself as Saturday night tele, as as soon as you get into it, it's over again.
The X Factor was a good point too - when they air together it really feels like Saturday night TV, but currently Ant and Dec is the only thing that is "Saturday night TV" and it could really do with a show to partner it which kind of sets the theme for Saturday night TV.
Currently we're switching from comedy to sci-fi to light entertainment to quiz - a bit too much chopping and changing on a Saturday night IMO.

That final part is very true. There is far too much variety.
It's a shame that I'm a celebrity airs late November as it totally takes away any chance of the programme back to backing with the X Factor from late September to Christmas which would help ratings.
I suppose that was the joy of ITV having X Factor and Dancing on Ice, they both compliemented the schedule well on Saturday nights.

Excellent point but in the old days of BBC1's legendary Saturday night schedule you'd go from kids entertainment (Basil Brush), to sci-fi (Doctor Who), to light entertainment (The Gen Game), to drama (Duchess Of Dukle Street), to comedy (The Two Ronnies), to a US cop show (Kojak), to sport (Match Of The Day), to conversation (Parkinson). So there was quite a variety there.
I guess it depends. I think Harry Hill would be a better lead-in to Ant and Dec than Primeval though, and undoubtedly would get higher ratings if it had Primeval's slot.

I'd agree with that. Those shows could partner each other very nicely. It's good to see that this show has finally been discovered. Moving it from Friday night to Saturday evenings was a masterstroke.
I notice this week there appears to be no 'Mouse Trap' with 'Beat the boys instead'. I wonder if there's any particular reason for it not being shown this week. I'm guessing one of the '[insert value]-list celebs' pulled out at the last moment hence they choose a ninth elf from the audience.
