That was astonishing in Beat The Boys last night. Ant & Dec picked up 2 penalties compared to that Fearne & Holly scored 3 penalties, yet they still win!

Yes, I got the feeling the decision last night was more about bringing the contest closer together than actually who did better on the night. Dec clearly had the better delivery. Given that there are only 2 more shows, Ant can only level it off anyway.
On the whole the show is ok, but they need a wider breadth of features to give it a bit more of an edge, at the moment you know exactly what's coming and when. The Jiggy Bank game needs replacing, I'm bored of seeing people bounce up and down on a giant pig for about £3,000.
The Viewers Win the Ads game is becoming a bit of a sham, every week they seem to run out of time, only taking one call this week. Bit pointless getting Stephen Mulhern in to wear a baby costume for one caller.
I can see OFCOM complaints about this, running a premium rate phone line at £1 a call, to give away a digital camera. (Didn't Deal or No Deal get into trouble for running a competition where the prize wasn't guaranteed ?)

Yes, and now on DOND the competition doesn't open until the actual prize amount has been revealed (after the first break).
Obviously ITV haven't taken that ruling by Ofcom on board.

The difference is (from memory) they are competing for a chance to take part in next week's 'Grab the Ads', rather than for a chance to win x prize, which in DoND's case due to being recorded was known in advance. By getting a call back and put on hold the following week they have technically 'won' what they phoned up for, and there is no guarantee they'll get selected to play for a prize on air.
Having said that I do feel they should select more than one caller, if only so that we can see more of the celebrity taking part in the game. Stephen seemed slightly disappointed that he only got to jump once and not again due to the time. Though they may have been tight for time based on the speed Stephen grabbed the toy I think at a push they could have got another caller in.

What's the betting Ant wins Ant vs Dec the next 2 weeks, leading to a draw on the final show and hence a "tie-breaker" challenge?
