I know that it would be a bit much, but instead of doing one for christmas eve this year, surely they could have done a live one on the saturday before christmas. I presume that the rest of the production staff don't work on other things around this time, so couldn't they get planning whilst the boys are doing I'm a Celeb?

The last Xmas special they did was disappointing. Even Ant & Dec looked bored and struggled to forge Xmas spirit in October.

I could be wrong but I thought this show hasn't been recomissioned for 2008? Nice to see Andy Collins, haven't seen him since the daytime Family Fortunes editions and don't forget I'm a Celebrity starting soon so there will be another Ant and Dec fix for those who need it before another takeaway. I'm surprised that there hasn't been any leaks about whos going to appear on I'm a celebrity yet?
Andy Collins has also been doing warm up for The Paul O'Grady Show and Graham Norton Show. Busy, busy man.
Takeaway will return to ITV1 in mid-February.
The sponsors of the show, Heinz Big Eat, have said that their advertising hasn't pushed sales up of the product, and therefore will not be sponsoring the show next year.
There you go.

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will return to screens during ITV1s Christmas Extravagansa for a 90-minute special featuring some very special guests, and also some top prizes for audience-members.
The main show will return during February 2008 with a completely new sponsor. Full details of the show can be found on our website www.itv.com/takeaway.

Great! We have a Christmas special this year! That will probably be on December 22nd because that's the Saturday before Christmas.
Also nice to see that they've moved the next series to spring. Although I liked in the autumn, it only lasted 6 weeks each time so hopefully a change of start date should see an extended run.

Well they have to make up their mind, if its not just vanity, then they should have known what was going on. I mean the only other option is to call them incompetent executive producers, if its true, he went for the nicer option.

They are furious with Grade after he publicly DISMISSED their executive producer roles as a "vanity credit"—created to make them feel they had a say in the programme.
