Anyone know how many series of how many episodes we've had of Saturday Night Takeaway now, I've lost track

Beat the Boys was a great addition to the show I agree.

I think the Jiggy Bank needs to go next series though and be replaced with something different otherwise it would get boring.

According to IMDB we are on Series 6 now Andrew.

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0324692/episodes#season-6

According to that some series in the past only had 6 episodes.

Indeed, I've just had a look. 46 episodes so far

Series 1 - Summer 2002 - 6 Shows (June to July)
Series 2 - Winter 2003 - 11 Shows (January to March)
Series 3 - Spring 2004 - 6 Shows (March to April)
Series 4 - Autumn 2004 - 6 Shows (October to November)
Series 5 - Spring 2005 - 10 Shows (February to April)
Christmas Takeaway - 1 Show (Christmas Eve 2005)
Series 6 - Autumn 2006 - 6 Shows (September to October)

Anyone know if we will have a Xmas special again this year?

Plus maybe we will get a Winter series like what happened in 2004/2005. I can't think of any other projects that Ant and Dec would do in the first few months of 2007, they aren't doing a film again are they?

Yeah, I think the first series had 6 episodes, as well as the series that has just ended. Maybe one or two others as well

Edit: Andrew points it out quite well!

I hope they do. It was perfect for Christmas Eve tv and made a change from soaps.

I expect if they do it this year it will go out on the 23rd rather than Christmas Eve (although as its called Christmas Takeaway not Saturday Takeaway they could get away with not showing it on a Saturday.)

I don't think so. They've had quite a busy year this year, haven't they? PokerFace is coming back, as we know - I think that may be reverting to a weekly format though, rather than being stripped across one week.

I don't know, before they did Soccer Aid they hadn't been seen on screen for about 5 months.

They should do a series in the Winter, Noel's House Party ran for about 30 weeks a year didn't it?

Last year was busier due to Gameshow Marathon, which I wish they would bring back!

I know it was originally made for ITV's 50th anniversary but could definitely work as a regular series. I really enjoyed it last year, and so did many others going by the ratings it was getting. One of the surprise hits for ITV.

I thought it was even more. I remember Noel said it was exhausting as he was always working. I'm glad ITV never did that with Ant and Dec. There is such thing as overkill.

Pokerface won't be back too early into 2007 so they will have time to do some more Takeaway in the New Year if they wish.
