Talking more generally now, considering every other night of the week has now been lined up so programmes almost always start on the hour or half hour, it's strange that Saturday night hasn't followed suit.
Taking 15 minutes off Ant and Dec and putting Millionaire and The X Factor on at 6pm and 7pm respectively would be a much neater schedule - though of course ITV are currently scheduling around the BBC!

Well Saturday nights have always followed a different schedule with programmes starting at odd times. Same as Christmas Day!
Well it could be the BBC scheduling their programmes around ITV1.
Really? I remember when Love Island was advertised they made it even worse by flooding more unwanted celebrities onto the show. Paul Danan - don't want to see him again and Dennis Rodman - definetley not! The only thing he's attracted to is a magnet.
As for Saturday Night Takeaway I will probably not watch it if they're going to do this.
Ant and Dec return on the Saturday after next, with a new series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
It's also when Parkinson returns. ITV's saturday schedule will look like this, although times will vary from week to week no doubt
5.45 Who wants to be a Millionaire?
Creating a 3-way game show battle with Deal or no Deal and Weakest Link
6.45 The X Factor
Opposite Maria on BBC1
7.45 Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
9:00 Afterlife
10:00 Parkinson
11.10 ITV News
Saturday night's are looking very good on BBC1 and ITV1 at the mo - with those programmes above, Strictly Come Dancing, Doctor Who and Robin Hood on BBC1. Plus Dancing on Ice had huge ratings for ITV, and Maria's not doing too badly.
It's amazing to think now that about 5 years ago ITV though traditional Saturday night entertainment was dead and decided to have The Premiership on from 7-8.15 every Saturday night. Those really where a terrible few years for Saturday night's - ITV didn't have anything and where trying to revive Blind Date, while BBC1 had stuff like Friends Like These and that Ruby Wax quiz The Waiting Game. They also had a Claire Sweeney gameshow in Spain or somewhere called Here Comes the Sun!
People might still complain, but things have inproved massively on Saturday night's - better than they've been for a long time.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there's no way I want to see or hear anything or anyone from that awful Chav Island.
Anyone remember when Jeremy Beadle use to be on the first series of Takeaway. It was a NTV style segement which had Beadle and a punter on some remote house many miles away from home and they had to perform a trick to win a prize.

This was really a separate show completely. It was just advertised on Saturday Night Take Away each week. The show itself (Banged up with Beadle) was on ITV2 after Take Away and was a 'so bad its good' style show. I enjoyed it though.
