Well, Ivor Baddiel writes the script for them on that but the chemistry is there. With SNT I think there's so much more restriction.
Er no he doesn't; A&D have their own writers for that and pretty much everything else they do. Baddiel is (or was) Dermot O'Leary's scriptwriter on X Factor.
Five-time Emmy Award winner Neil Patrick Harris is coming to NBC on a new primetime variety series based on the U.K.'s hugely popular "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway." The show will feature comedy sketches, musical numbers, mini game shows, hidden camera pranks on celebrities and appearances by A-list stars. Harris, who has served as an Emmy and Tony Award host and was recently announced as host of the 2015 Academy Awards, will bring his multi-dimensional skills to the forefront of this new hour-long series.

I was convinced his name popped up in the credits on that too. Either way, they don't write their own stuff.

Is possible, there come up with the ideas and the guy formats its?
Looking back at the series it's interesting to note that 'Win the lads' only featured once. I wonder if this was a relatively last-minute feature to fill time in an episode. I seem to recall Little Ant & Dec were supposed to have a piece at the Brits but for whatever reason it was pulled. I suspect an I'm a Celeb or similar was brought forward for that episode.

They always bang on about how involved they are with the creative process, Michael Grade's famous 'vanity credit' remark made me perhaps not be as confident in this claim as I might have been.

Well they tried to have their cake and eat it during the phone voting fiasco didn't they? One of their shows which they had Exec credits on was implicated, yet they claimed ignorance, something which most Execs wouldn't be able to do honestly if they were doing their jobs...
It was very clear, they get involved in the ideas and the running order, but don't get involved in behind the scenes processes involving a phone in competition.
It's debate able if any exec producer would know that much about the finer points of the competition in any case as there are probably lower level people involved who reassured the exec producer that everything was above board. It's like when there is an incident in a public sector company (or the BBC) and it's always demanded that the CEO is sacked. The way things were dragging out I'm surprised the DG didn't end up resigning over the Clarkson affair.
The full Deloitte report link is here http://www.theguardian.com/media/2007/oct/18/television.ITV2 A bit more than behind the scene processing problems.
Given the findings about grab the ads and the location of the jiggy bank Ant and Dec must have been very thick and incurious or........

There was a Little Ant and Dec film with Take That billed in the Radio Times for one of the episodes which never happened. Presumably they do record quite a lot of standby material like Win The Lads that isn't time-specific and can be slotted into any episode that might be running short, if guests pull out or anything.

I believe Justin Bieber was due to feature in a Little Ant & Dec skit, at around the time Bieber was (disastrously) at the O2, but after the events of that, he had to pull out. This was later followed by Bieber denying all knowledge of the Little Ant & Dec interview request, which may have been more damage limitation than fact... Anyway the Bieber interview became a Russell Brand interview instead.
It's a shame Little Ant and Dec have been used less this year because they've only really just grown into the role. They were a bit too little perhaps originally.
