Do you think they will air the US version in the UK?
It will be an ITV 2 special if that's that case.

Part of the other problem is, Ant and dec are away for most of the week dealing with BGT. So there only pop up on Friday/Saturday?
But the show does feel like its missing something, its NO House party or even Late late breakfast show.

No, BGT auditions finish up before the series begins (hence why it doesn't begin in January) and the next stage isn't filmed until April, so they're not doing both at the same time.
The show is simply suffering from exactly the same problems it did the first time, except this time it doesn't seem to have the budget to cover them up (here's an idea, pay Ant and Dec less and invest more into the shows themselves!)

I still think the live element is redundant when they give very little room for improvisation. The Ant vs Dec challenges are no longer a surprise, the What's Next segment is very much missed in my opinion, and the opening banter with the guest announcer is a little stiff.
The reason I think this is a big deal is because I think Ant and Dec shine when they're just themselves. Have a look at them when they're being interviewed, or when they interacting naturally with other people, and they come across very warm and genuine. They lose that when things start getting too slick and over-rehearsed. Most of these live entertainment shows work to their full advantage when the script is thrown aside.

Its I'm a celb, is where those two shine alot.

Yes it all feels over rehearsed or at least very predictable these days. Needs some new ideas

Well, Ivor Baddiel writes the script for them on that but the chemistry is there. With SNT I think there's so much more restriction.

Ok conflicting arguments here, personally I love a bit of car-crash TV providing like Larry says, it's still entertaining and this also proves it's LIVE. I think TV today, live or not, is too over-rehearsed in general. If it wasn't over-rehearsed so much A&D would have more room to make it their own.
So your fact about "they can't win" is not true. It's about finding the right balance.
Moan, moan, bloody moan.
They can't win can they? It's either too slick and over-rehearsed, or its car-crash TV because a segment went wrong.

When you're getting both those complaints within the same series, or even the same show, it's silly.
It's a show that's changed quite a lot as time has gone on, and I wonder how much of the nostalgia for the earlier series is just through rose-tinted glasses.
The most memorable events on the show have been, in the vast majority of cases for me, in segments that are still going. I can only remember one "What's Next?", for example, but I can remember far more Undercovers.
