The graphics! They're not that important aren't they?
You're obviously visiting the wrong internet forum.
I know they're an excellent presentational tool, and I do enjoy good graphics, but I've never personally found my enjoyment of a programme increased or decreased due to its graphics.
I obviously haven't reached the Grade A level of ultra-geekery yet.

Fair enough
I think the scoreboard as well as the graphics annoyed me. Always looked like a British Rail knock-off. While it's great for nostalga in this edition, the show was running for ages (up until very recently) when they could (and I think, should) have made the effort to update the graphics and studio.

They DID update the graphics and set very radically in 1988 for the "re-launch" series with Les Dennis (after a 3 year break after Max Bygrave's tenure). Out went the yellow/black LED dot-matrix display to be replaced with a multicoloured videowall screen supplied by graphics from a Commodore Amiga. The 'X's were in red 'brush script' style rather than the blocky yellow ones, and different colours of text and a different font were used for the answer grids.
The sides of the set were also flanked by brightly-coloured angular lettering spelling out the name of the show.
This was all ditched from 1989 onwards, with a return to a more traditional look. I can only assume the LED screen used in 1988 was causing eye-strain or glare for Les Dennis and the crew, and that that was why they reverted.

[quote="saturdaymorning"]Not that 1983 ident again! Can't they use the 1982 one,a Central Rainbow,a Central Animation or a Carlton Heart?

But i think some Family Fortunes titles were alright.Especially the 2002 ones!
Once again one of the most interesting things about tonight's show was seeing Ant and Dec effectively present seperately (in fact, apart from the links, they did everything seperately!) - and Dec seems to be a natural gameshow host!
Poor old Vernon though - lost the show that according to reports last week, he'll be presenting next year!
First two aren't really important, but the presenter, ie Ant or Dec didn't move down the row of the family when asking questions, so it looked a bit cold. Les would never be so rude! Still, no great issue.
Also, the X or the answers just 'appeared' on the board, there was no 'wipe' effect like previously. Still not important.
BUT in Double Money, they didn't actually double the money! The Kays only won £60 when it should have been £120. Poor show! And whilst we're on the topic, when [beep] was given as an answer, that should have been taken as the answer. Oh well...!
Worst of all, the car wasn't a nasty Daewoo. "The family saloon that has it all". Moi? Family Fortunes freak? Gotta love Challenge.

well out of the 7 gameshow bulleyes was the worse, and I can't see that coming back!
the only one I can see them bring back is Sale of teh century!
and the best one for Ant & Dec is " Play your cards right"
I'm glad someone else noticed that 'Double Money' WASN'T!!! That was pretty poor letting that sneak through, not that it affected the outcome.
I think those titles would never actually have been shown with a preceding Central ident - not if they were from 1988, as the idents had been dropped by then.
Shame they didn't use the original titles with Jack Parnell's brassy orchestration and either an ATV ident or the original Central eclipse.
Altogether, though, a good effort over the seven shows, though I don't really think it can be repeated - it had 'one-off' written all over it.
