I think they should stay with the Gameshow Marathon. If it comes back then next series i want to see 3-2-1,Supermarket Sweep,Blockbusters,Fun House,Chain Letters,Blind Date and Knightmare!

3-2-1 could have the Yorkshire Liquid Gold ident,Supermarket Sweep could have a Central Rainbow [I know they'd got rid of frontcaps by 93!],Blockbusters could have the first Central Rainbow,Fun House could have an 80s CiTV ident,Chain Letters could have the 79 Tyne Tees ident,Blind Date could have the 92 LWT ident and Knightmare could have the 91 CiTV ident.

I think Knightmare would be hard to do though unless they talked to Broadsword. They could always make up their own CSO.Maybe Crosswits or Lucky Ladders would be easier.

The problem with why some of the possible shows weren't choosen is down to budget. To pick the last one on your list how would you realistically fit Knightmare into Gameshow Marathon? It's effectively a team game (1 dungeoneer + 3 advisors), sucessful quests took atleast 3 episodes (30 minutes per episode), and the approximate budget per episode was apparently £50 000. Still don't get me wrong it was a very good show, which reminds me there's a petition for it http://www.bringbackknightmare.co.uk/ .

As for other shows listed I think Supermarket Sweep and Funhouse have a similar problem, though more in terms of space required. Also Blockbusters I imagine would require adapting as it was 1 contestant versus 2, though that would be easy to sort out as they did with Bullseye.

The BBC are now getting in on the game show nostalgia thing. The 'Sun' claims They'll be piloting both 'The Generation Game' & 'Jim'll Fix It' this Christmas. Graham Norton will host the gen game while bizarrely it will be Jimmy Carr who'll be fixing 'it' Shocked. If the Xmas specials go down well full series will follow next year.

I think Bullseye was exposed very badly last night - it really hasn't aged well. The whole point about the show was its cheap and cheerful, Sunday afternoon, of its time quality. Bringing it into Saturday night television with a large noisy crowd exposed it quite badly for what it is. Having so many identical rounds with a simple question and answer format was quite boring. It was the show I was looking forward to the most, but it was probably the worst of the run. That's not the fault of anyone on the show - it was worth a try - but the format itself is past its sell-by date.

I personally thought that most of the problem with Bullseye last night was that it is a three player/team game and does not work when adapted to only have two teams.

I agree. I was so looking forward to Bullseye, but i was let down badly. It just didn't work at all and fell completely flat. The hosts, the audience, the contestants, the dart players, the set, the day, the time....it was just all wrong.

8.1 million viewers is better than Ant and Dec usually get with Saturday Night Takeaway. It'll be interesting to see how they approach those figures.

With more Gameshow Marathons and less 'Takeaway' hopefully. Despite the odd duff shows it has been an enjoyable series, and there are plenty of gameshows that could warrant another series.

Although i think a full Bullseye revival is now inevitable.

I liked last nights programme, but it went on a bit too long, having only 2 contestants didn't help, especially having professionals throughout certainately lost the amaetur side to it.

Plus I thought it didn't feel right that they had Tony Green, but they didn't have Jim Bowen, as Bowen and Green got on really well in the old Bullseye's, where as though Ant and Dec were good, they were hardly Super, Smashing, Great

And why that version of the theme tune, fair enough the graphics and the set, but that version sounded crap.

But otherwise fun and enjoyable.
