Somehow they're going to get Carol vs Patsy playing Play Your Cards Right, with Bill versus Vernon playing Bullseye.
No I have no idea how this is going to work either, I expect some bonus celebrity partners will get involved (although Play Your Cards Right was originally played with single contestants so you know).

still somehow ITV can still manger to screw up this simple format!!
So how come Parkinson can't get Studio 1 at the LWT building? Sorry, but after watching Peter Lewis for years introduce LWT programmes for years in front of an LWT backdrop, saying TLS just sounds & feels completely wrong to me.

so it play your card right tonight?
Well we get the most remembered LWT logo? or well we get that 1985/86 grey one?
Of course if they use that ident, one would hope they have someone with enough sense to supply that lovingly recreated widescreen version LWT pres had done up for their last day... but realistically someone will likely just butcher an original copy to make it look like widescreen.

It'll almost certainly be the 1978-1986 logo. If it isn't, I'll eat my hat.
Your were RIGHT!!!! and at least there used the 1980 titles!
I'm actually putting my money on this game to come back with ant & dec!!! I never seen anything like it, what fun

Wasn't that done in Macromedia Flash that widescreen version?
In terms of 'market testing' I'm pretty sure ITV will seriously be using this opportunity to think about bringing back some of these formats. If they spend a bit of money on the sets and get really good prizes (like most of tonight's) I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Compared to Millionaire where the prize is (obviously) a lot of money, it's actually a bit more exciting to see 'stuff' - eg. a a car, holiday, household goods, whatever. I know you can buy what you want with a million quid, but physical prizes do really get that 'Oooh!' factor.
Have to admit I did shout 'Higher!' or 'Lower!' at the telly a few times tonight.

I'd have to admit I took a close look at it, and apart from the appearance of a "copy & paste" job over a 16:9 frame, the authenticity of it (and the fact that it was neither zoomed or cropped) lead me to believe that it was original.
In a footnote, the Flash version that Dave Jeffrey did used a lighter blue that the one presented tonight.
Good show tonight - Ant and Dec and the contestants really seemed to enjoy it!
It was also interesting to see Ant and Dec being seperated and becoming individual hosts for part of the show, switching roles of quizmaster and card dealer.
