Annual BBC RBS tests

I noticed that earlier; was wondering when someone would mention the 'Pause'.

Another jump, and now there is a 'pause' symbol in the top right of the screen.

Keeps jumping on and off the screen too.

By this, I meant that the picture had faint streaks on it, like interference, not the 'pause' symbol.

Well, BBC2 had a couple of minor visual hiccups ahead of the earlier test for sure; and moments of brief sound dropout were noticeable too, so I suspect some sort of glitch will have / would have occured here too...

Phil Vowels letting us know the test is starting and lasting an hour...

Just identing feeds, make sure when they pull the U-link out to start RBS mode, they pull the correct one out!

Pres announcement going into news 24 that we're losing transmission until 5.10am.

London teletext idented with CEEFAX 1, and a normal clock

Nothing unusual about the way Ceefax searches to pages this time.

And bleeps (not sure whether it's intended to be that way, or is a continuous tone that's not quite working) behind the speaking clock lady, unlike earlier.

Sounds like the stereo tone is being mixed to mono on the left channel.

I'm gonna leave the tapes running now, and go to bed
