If only announcers were right about things!

A delay has just occured with the vapour trails ident playing all the way through then started again with the announcer saying

"we're sorry about the delay into tonights graham norton; it is live you know!"

No it isnt!

I did wonder about that - although it must have been recorded today - or at least the first part of the show is. When is V Graham Norton recorded (and where)?

I think its only recorded at about 8-9pm each night as during summer series ob's (which they dont have many of this year) are light when its dark outside; yet in the winter they are dark so they cant be recorded that early.

Its recorded at the london studios in of course london! Home of GMTV, This Morning, V Graham Norton and SMTV Live/cd:uk to name a few!

It is filmed at the South Bank, and ooh oooh - my mates are in the audience tomorrow night. Filming starts at 6pm. Look for the blonde dreadlocks and versace top of a young man. I beleive his story has to do with crouching in a kilt at a wedding and scaring a flowergirl...

As recording starts at 6, how did they manage during the BB evictions? and why don't they do it live? It is just incase they need to edit out something that is a bit too tasteless?

I am completely sure that the admission of the appearance is noted to cover each driving out during the season of the large brother several times. A very clever movement. On memorable ocassion during the bomb scare, if my memory me serves correctly, who was hasty drawn up it, and covers with its own public clay.

They used to get the days Big Brother news from Big Brother (though I suppose they could have got it from BBLB!); and therefore they were right with the news straight after Big Brother.

When it comes to the eviction Fridays V Graham Norton is filmed on a Thursday night (they used to film So... on a thursday too!) so they record different versions depending on how ever many are up for eviction. They then edit it when its announced at 8:50ish and pass it to channel 4 to play out.

In the case of the Bomb evacuation of elstree; they edited the news of whose come out; out. So that he said 'Big Brother News!' and they cut to a shot of the audience cheering; cut back to him and he ranted about the habits of the housemates; such as psycho cameron plotting to kill someone!

Go away and look up the definition of Irony

I appeared on VGN recently. It was recorded at 2200 the night before TX. We had to wait for the previous programme to be recorded (that nights TX) before we were let in. Was worth the wait due to winning the prize of a holiday.

It's obvious it is filmed the night before or a few days earlier because of the jokes Graham always makes about it. When he's chatting with a guest and he's ranting on about tour dates, they end up saying the one according to the time it was filmed, but then Graham corrects them and says they're a day off or something, to make it seem live.

It's funny when he does that - but why do they need to pretend it's live?
