Announcers E4 & ITV2

yeah, true... what would E4 do without Friends and Big Brother USA?

I don't know, but the CA about a couple of months ago made a sarcastic comment about that. When they were playing the Next thing, he said "You're watching E4, where it is either Big Brother or Friends, and we've just had Friends, so we're going back to Big Brother."

Though when they had the BB Bomb Scare, I think the announcer had to stay on Live until 1.30am, as I saw an announcement at 12.55am, saying that we can't bring you BB Live, so instead, Your Face or Mine.

But when the announcements are done live on E4, they always seem to have some enthusiasm. I am certain that about a month or two ago, I heard Garry Terrza annoucing live on there.

Though the guy who announces on ITV2 has been there about every day for about 3 years, when they scrapped the IVC, I don't know if the guy did IVC, but his voice is familiar. Though I feel sorry for Sky One's Clare Sturgess, who's been announcing on the channel everyday for the last 6 years! (Obviously recorded)

Does anybody know if Living TV has live annos? I have heard them make mistakes, and just keep going, as any live announcer would have to do. Recently I also heard one of their announcers make a throw-away comment on a voice over, that related to something topical in the news. BTW the microphone, and or acoustics, in their studio is terrible.

...yeah you did hear gary t announcin on E4 a few months back. D mcLeod's also done it. E4 annos also work on C4 too. C4 and E4 annos now work cross-channel where needed to cover sickness.

Haha! There was another one I heard, "Typical, all the housemates have slept this afternoon and as soon as they wake up, we have to leave. Up next, Friends..."

I have heard rumour that the ITV1 announcers will also be on ITV2 from later in the year.

I dont know how true this is, but surely it would make sense!?!??

Well, some months ago I am sure that I heard the voice of ITV1 announcer Graham Rogers announcing on ITV2.

Whether his links were pre-recorded or not, I don't know ...

Yes, that night I remember very well. ITV2 had some program changes and was like 15 minutes behind schedule or something mad like that. I take it the pre recorded links had things like: "Its 10:30 you're with itv2 and now...." well those would be no good being played out at 10:45 would they!
I think the ITV1 guy recorded the rest of the right for ITV2.

The voiceover on RAIN MAN on ITV2 last night was appallingly misjudged. I'll be ringing their duty office just as soon as it actually opens.
