Anneka Rice

Anneka Rice has been on our screens twice today!

She was in Danger: Celeb at Work (is that what it's called?) and also in 4x4.

Let's hope she's on our screens even more in the future.

Maybe resurrect Challenge Anneka?

I'd forgotten what a fab presenter she is! - poor her, having to do that dreadful job at the newspaper in Hong Kong - i felt so sorry for her!

It was the first time I'd seen the series. Rice's section was entertaining, the part with Alderton though was totally boring.

Do you reckon Anneka would accept if Channel 4 approcached her with a new series of Treasure Hunt? I reckon she wouldn't - which is a real shame.

There probably wouldn't be another series of Treasure Hunt due to the saftey aspects. Remember, there was no door on the helicopter! And the sky runner had to do some very dangerous stunts.

But if they put a door on the helicopter etc, she might come back - maybe as the adjudicator.

Does anyone else agree - she's not changed a bit! Still sexy!

I don't know why they haven't made any more series of Treasure Hunt - the french version is one of the most popular programmes on TV over there (along with their equivalent Going for Gold - 'Questions pour un champion' - so maybe that doesn't say a great deal!). We don't have hardly any 'adventure' game shows on anymore since the demise of the Crystal Maze. I know there's Fort Boyard (which is also v. popular in France!) but that's on Channel 5!

Very '1980's' isn't it?

There was a programme a while ago but not quite as good as 4x4, what was it called, I think the gaphics were orangy, and later on if not from the start was presented by Sue Lawley, it wouldn't usually be bothered but its started no annoy me not knowing now!

I've just found an old tape of mine I've had since about 1986. Only Fools And Horses has just finished, and a very young looking Chris Lowe is presenting some breaking BBC News. After that follows an interesting Challenge Anneka.

They should bring that programme back!

I think you might mean about 1989ish. Challenge Anneka didn't start until Treasure Hunt finished in Spring 89.

By the way, what episode of OFAH was it?
