Didn't they change last year? Has the Anglia flag gone, because if it has, that symbol is now as gone as Granada or Yorkshire's symbols. (i.e. only used in the wrong colours on the endcap)

looks kinda plain! I hope the flag is still used, otherwise, any ident based on that header graphic would be pretty boring!

It's actually lucky to have survived this far - the original concept for the hearts idents included ALL logos appearing in yellow on blue (even LWT's lost it's colours). The Anglia flag was going to go the same way.

That's not the new look, that was just a webpage tweak a few weeks ago.
The flag has all but gone - not used in the new graphics, although the corporate colours (yellow and blue) remain.
There are new titles, a new logo and DOG, new graphics, astons, the set has a new backing and there is a new desk - the old grey one is out, in comes a warmer polished wooden one.
And the new plasma is MASSIVE, it dwarfs the presenters!!

. Typical. Could that triangle logo be the flag's replacement if they decide to dump the ITV1 branding? I'd like to see some mocks of that idea.

They can't dump the ITV1 branding. On paper it might still be Anglia Television Ltd that runs the station, in practice the decision makers are in London and treat Anglia as little more than a news region - it's all one big channel called ITV1 to them. Short of major structural changes it's impossible for Anglia to do anything about their loss of branding - they didn't decide to take it away in the first place and they can't decide to put it back.
As for a possible new Anglia logo in the future, maybe but why? Their existing flag logo only appears on the endcap now - and apparantly even that is soon to disappear. I can think of no compelling reason for Anglia - or any other ITV1 branded station - to ever change their logo again because it will just be impossible to establish through shere lack of opportunities to use it. The best way they can hold on to their remaining regional elements is through the continued use of the logos they allready have, at least people recognise those brands.
The last company to go through a logo change was Tyne Tees 3 years ago, and you can bet they will be the last.

UTV also changed their logo in 2000. And after Tyne Tees too, if I'm not mistaken.
They can dump the ITV branding if they're no longer owned by Carlton/Granada - don't forget the Viacom/Haim Saban/Hallmark bidding war that'll likely soon happen, if other threads are accurate.
What was that about the logos disappearing? Are production slides to be dropped? Or are you just thinking of post-merger, if it still happens...
