I only caught a snatch of the programme, but it seemed to me that the back drop had chaged - a lighter blue. Did anybody see the programme and can confirm this.

Depends if you caught east or west, I think east is more 'real' and looks slightly lighter, probably because of the studio lights. Whereas west isn't real, I don't think...

Rangdo? Where are you?!

Stephen doesn't seem to have been around since the middle of April for some strange reason.

He'll pop in sometime, I'm sure.

Norma - do you know who was presenting? It may give away whether you were watching east or west.

I notice something weird on the west programme, in a wide shot the presenters hand flew infront of the screen next to him on his right and it seemed like there was a black outline around the screen which was showing on top of the picture - over his arm... if you get me.

So it looked like his arm was going through the screen next to him and showing up on the screen. It must just be the way the graphics work Confused

I reckon an even bigger giveaway is the fact it says "Anglia (West)" next to her post!

Mine says Anglia (East) but all I get is West. For all we know, Norma could've been fiddling with the remote and ended up in the East...

Well spotted. New backdrop went in yesterday. West had it for both bulletins but East's first appeared on the PM bulletin (that's why lunchtime was from the newsroom). It's a much lighter blue with bigger ITV squares. Looks very good too.

Why do you only see West - do you only watch on Sky? I'm sure you must have a terrestrial aerial!

I do, and I usually turn it over on that if Dads not watching his usual crap, although it's a bad picture. When that's all turned off (whenever it's supposed to be happening) and all we have is Sky, I'd have to keep going through the Other Channels menu's to get to Anglia East, then I lose the ability to see what's on.

But it's just bugging me why we can't get East by default anyway. I'll just have to contact Sky or something.

I only have one 'Anglia' on 'Other Channels', how do you get both. Plus I only have one Meridian and one Central. Granada, Scottish, UTV, Channel and Grampian are also stored on my 'Other Channels' but they don't work either. Any suggestions?

I don't know how I got mine... I think I found some sort of number/code which I punched in on 'find channels', pressed select and it found a load of channels.

Anglia "West" is the only Anglia sub-region on D-SAT. Anglia "South" (ie the Sudbury variant of Anglia "East") was to have been made available around now, as was Central EM. Something has caused delay, according to some ITV insiders "Sky" are to blame!

There's a suspicion that negotiations over the charges to be made for mapping the remaining sub-regions to Sky subscribers location records have been absorbed into wider negotiations. There could be a more global negotiation going on over the continuance of the Sky/ITV conditional access ( CA) deal pending an expansion of ITV channels, and the future of GSkyB "Plus" after the launch of ITV-3 and ITV+1. I'd doubt if these two parties would be capable of resolving their positional difficulties (quietly) without recourse to OffCom or legal arbitration.

Anglia East is still expected to appear on D-SAT in "months rather than weeks."
