Did BBC1 intend to use the Salsa ident for "And It's Goodnight From Him" the tribute programme to Ronnie Barker tribute programme?

If so, I won't be surprised if they get critisized. It's a bit cheeky that they are showing a tribute programme for a strongly missed dead person and using a lively ident.

Could be worse. Could use Hip Hop or Music Video.

I think complaining about the type of ident used to introduce the programme is pathetic.

He was a comedian for crying out loud! It didn't matter what ident they used.

Oh for God sake. The programme is meant to be a celebration of Ronnie's life rather than a sombre look at his death. I think Salsa was a good choice of ident.

Nothing wrong with that ident. As was said above, it was a celebration of the life of a very funny man, who was partial to a bit of dancing and singing himself. I'm sure he would have seen the funny side.
