Thought I'd share these.

Paul Clark, a long-time member of this forum who sadly passed away last August, was a talented musician who contributed several tracks for a Streets of Rage fangame, under the name BGM1401. The last few remixes and compositions he contributed are on this playlist, should anyone want to hear them:

I’m extremely sorry to hear that Paul Clark has passed away. I still have his wonderful mix of the BBC One Circle Ident music with 500 Miles by the Pretenders - he was clearly extremely talented in this regard, not to mention the other mocks and conversation that he contributed to this forum.

I had completely forgotten about that! Used to be linked to in his signature, right? Don't suppose you could upload it on here?

I will forever be grateful for the patience he had when dealing with my 10-year-old self when I approached him over email about some YouTube videos of his I used to binge. Absolutely gutted.
dbl, Roger Darthwell and London Lite gave kudos

Well thanks to Asa and everybody else involved with the forum over the past 20 years.

I'll miss the little blue icon on my desktop, and good luck to all on the forum on whatever it is you will do in the future.

Also I hope that the new Forum does well too.

Bye for now.

Might have meant 2000 miles by the Pretenders.

Before the forum closes, I wanted to join many other long time lurkers in making a post to say how much I've enjoyed visiting here over the years. I've been coming here almost every day since at least 2014 if not earlier and it has been fun to read interesting discussions between the regulars, particularly when there have been major presentation changes. I've always enjoyed forums and there's a great community of people here that have made it a nice place to read and be a part of!

Thanks to Asa, Charlie Wells, Bail and everyone else who has been a part of the moderation team for the work that they have done in keeping this place going, I know from experience it can be a thankless task at times but it has made the forum a better place for it. Asa has done a fantastic job in keeping the site maintained for 20 years, a long time to keep at anything, and I'm glad that the site will remain in a read-only form so we'll be able to look back in the future.

I look forward to the discussion continuing elsewhere and maybe I won't leave it so long before making a post next time. Thanks everyone for making TVForum great! Smile

Very final to see the credits roll on the home page!

I wonder how many posts we'll get here during the couple of days overlap where both here and TVL are open?

Goodbye TVF - I've been lurking for the last *checks notes*... 12 years?! But always been here, and probably long before I joined also. Not had the time nor frame of mind to contribute but perhaps that'll change on TV Live. Some good memories of this place for sure, and it's been heartening to know I wasn't completely alone in staying up late to watch News 24 countdowns on BBC One.

Something Rob posted on Twitter this weekend reactivated a repressed memory - thanks to this forum, alcohol and loneliness I purchased skyonc.co.uk thinking I'd upload some kind of hilarious parody and impress you all. It's the most TVF thing I could ever hope to do. Luckily, I got better.

Thank you Asa, moderators and fellow oddballs for 20 years of extremely niche conversation.

Can’t believe it closes in two days.

Oddly only appearing on the desktop website for me.

Last post time, so as I said thank you to Mr. Hicks and co for me at least a good portion of internet time and all that.

So to those who've already registered on TV Live Forum, I'll see on the other side and logging off for the final time.

Goodbye.
