Thanks to Asa for running this forum for the last 20 years (been visiting this forum since Aug 2001). And thanks to everyone who had provided insightful posts about UK TV over the years for us who live outside of Britain. It was really interesting learning about British television from all of you.
Rumour is that the TomD Netowork is being brought back as a replacement, watch this space for details
please... no...
then netowork take over internet, then Asa please don’t ban me, then it’s scrambled, then sixth channel launch in March, then i’ve saw Ceefax closedowns in 1998, then new look launching BBC1 autumn.
I think you're mixing up tomd and Lee Bedwood there 🤣
Could be worse though, could be Paul Akinbola and his gameshow suggestions, though I think they were on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter rather than here.

He's had a stint on DS as LondonBite1 with equally ridiculous posts.
Very sorry to hear this. I was 11 when TVF began and pretty sure I was reading in 2001, certainly by 2003. For some reason I just assumed TVF would always be around, silly as it may sound about a website. Thank you to the know it alls here who actually do know quite a lot and post terrific stuff and thanks to all the "characters" over the years too. As others have said I hope somehow the decision can be reversed or the forum passed on but if not, cheers Asa it's been a superb site and has done what it says on the tin wonderfully over the last 20 years.

I remember when he first appeared on here his posts consisted of him copying and pasting posts from elsewhere then making completely nonsensical replies to those posts. It was very confusing how some of his posts made sense and some were completely incomprehensible until we worked out he was copying and pasting stuff.
He turned up literally weeks after we'd finally managed to get rid of Lee Bedwood too...
I signed up to TV Forum not long before I turned 15. I'm now 30 ( ), and feel like I've grown up with this place. It has been nice to know I am one of many with a niche interest in TV presentation and the like. Although I don't post as much as I used to, I still visit almost daily to read along. Even when on holiday in a foreign land, it was nice to check in here.
Thank you Asa for everything you and your team, past and present, have done. I'll miss the old place.
All the best!
Most remembered for all those outlandish doom laden predictions this time last year that every major event in the summer would end up being cancelled.
The irony was that he was finally banned for crying wolf far too many times! It was for the best, it was getting to the point where he was doom mongering for the sake of it.

Don't worry, his Mum will be confusing him because this year she knows who
