It's not little gremlins, is it?

Yeah your right, they appeared right at the end though and the cameras cut just as the gremlins were running amok in the studio!

What a pity, that would have made such nice it-should-be-alright-on-the-night-material.

Yeah, just hope they haven't bulldozed the Northam studios (home to Southern,TVS,Meridian) with Mr Norden in there. Apparently his show was the last programme (non news) to be recorded there.

Well they certainly went out with a bang then. Confused

I wonder if half of the people from Southern are still in the studio from 31/12/81. For those who remember the final show, they did a group get together on the stairs, the camera pans across each person on the three rows against the Southern Rhapsody music then towards the end, the lights fade down and the lights go out completely. I wonder if they managed to get out in time Smile

I saw some of it and wasn't at all squeamish seeing it! I was more fascinated as to how complex and interesting the human body can be. I've sat through 'harder' stuff anyway - namely 'the Operation' on the Discovery programme....

When I still lived in Holland I had dutch National Geographic. During nighttime they showed a rotting corpse for a certain period. All in the name of science, ofcourse, but I think I prefer a testcard.

This programme was fantastic! Apparently that Dr Gunther von Hagens was the first person to try out the plastination technique (making corpsed bodies solid!) lol.

Anyway... agreed, the opening of the testicles made me cringe Silent

Programmes like this usually make me physcially sick, but I caught a few minutes the other night and couldn't help but be drawn in!

I actually found it a genuinely fascinating and thought-provoking programme, although I did have to look away on a number of occasions. Sometimes though, it was the noises which were worse than the images. The sound of ribs being cut through made me wince.

Does anyone else think there's something a bit creepy about the Austrian doctor? I think it's a combination of the accent, the trilby, and the obsession with cutting up dead people. Wink

Absolutely, he's like the crazy professor from a 50's horrormovie.
