Analouge broadcasters Presentation

From the realms of the forum i decided to bring this up again. you may remember me asking for your thoughts about what ITV's and BBC 1's sombre/death ident and brekadown caption would look like after the rebrand, and since BBC 2 has joined ion with a set of new idents what do you think their breakdown caption and sombre ident will look like???

ideas?

ITV1 have a caption simular to their break bumper which is used for breakdowns I think. As for a sombre ident, ive no idea what they would use. Maybe just a plain ITV1 ident?

This occurred on October 8th 2006, just before the the present idents launched, but i would presume this is what they would do if there was a fault now too. As for a 'time of mourning' ident i think they would use a still ITV1 logo, with no music (see end of clip for example)
As for a BBC1'time of mourning' program preface, they would probably use something like this:

I remember seeing a quick fault following the introduction of ITV's current ident, and it's still the same. A still slide which is similar to the old breakbumper (and in the wrong aspect ratio), followed by listings if it's a prolonged breakdown.

I remember on the first night of the revamp last January (16/1/06) ITV Wales had problems during Wales Tonight, so viewers in this region got to see a breakdown the first day.

I remember seeing that breakdown. I love that music.

The BBC1 apology caption has BBC1 along the bottom like it is on the Promotional captions and a message in a circle in the middle. I saw it on a BBC2 Scotland breakdown on Hogmany. The music was just the ident music on a loop.

They used a BBC 1 apology caption on BBC 2?

Did any of our scotish members get a cap of it?

Sombre ident is moon I think

Why do the BBC use a caption and ITV use listings?

Going back to the sombre ident what would the bbc use as music would it be the ident music, silence i've got a feeling it would be a slowed down version of moon. Ideas :

For a time of mourning ident i think it would just cut straight to the end of moon, or maybe cut to when the logo forms. It would be silent, i would presume.
