Sky discontinued the former analogue service in June 2001 – just three years after digital satellite was launched. Although some of the channels which had been part of their package, such as CNN and CNBC Europe, have continued broadcasting unaffected by Sky's departure.

It was originally planned for the analogue switch-off to occur on 31 December 2002, but this was achieved 15 months earlier. The last three channels, Sky Premier, Sky One and Sky Sports 2, were switched off at 00:01 on 28 September 2001.

After this however, Sky analogue equipment could still pick up German channels until 30 April 2012, when these were also switched off. Nevertheless, I am curious if there are any other channels still broadcasting on analogue satellite in some way.

There are still satellites at 19.2° East (Sky moved to 28.2° East for Sky Digital) but they are all now digital services AFAIK.

Been doing some research and apparently all that's left of analogue satellite in 2014 is one encrypted channel at 62°E, a selection of 30 Brazilian channels at 70°W, three channels at 111.1°W and one channel at 135°W.

Well yeah but you ain't going to get most of those anyway from the UK unless you happen to have a dish that's like the size of a house and high enough off the ground to compensate for the horizon. A 135° West satellite would effectively be looking through the ground from the UK unless you're able to watch telly from a hot air balloon...
