Half way through GMT on BBC 2 East (Analogue) this afternoon the picture jumped to BBC News channel and then back to GMT. Then it cut completely to BBC News. Same on BBC 1 with Bargain Hunt flashing up every now and then.

BBC 1 is in deep 16:9 letterbox and BBC2 in 14:9 letterbox.

I'm receiving from the Sudbury transmitter. Digital is broadcasting as normal.

Anybody else having these problems?

BBC 2 has just cut back rather abruptly to the end slide for GMT, BBC1 now back on Bargain Hunt.

No mention on by the CA going into Animal Park.

BBC 1 and 2 analogue here (BBC South region) seemed normal. Interesting in another thread someone in Yorkshire described similar problems. I'd have expected the problems to either be confined to a single region, or on the main network feeds out of Red Bee in W12 affecting all English regions.

I was watching BBC One Yorkshire digital this morning (about 5:30ish) and the signal kept switching between the standard 16:9 and what appeared to be a 14:9 "fuzzy" feed a few times in as many minutes. The 14:9 feed had two dots in the top left-hand corner, like Sky's channels were carrying when they switched transponders a couple of months ago (to identify source, presumably).

Didn't spot anything on analogue, though.

BBC Yorkshire often soft opt like, I think it's to check they have the right gallery in circuit in the right region.

Ah right, thanks. I'm never usually up at such an un-godly hour, so I'd not seen it before!

It happened from Waltham, East Midlands as well. BBC News Channel on both BBC One and BBC Two, but no ticker.
