Now, don't get me wrong, I like most people enjoy the odd episodes of American Idol but what are ITV (or Simon Cowell for that matter) playing at?

1) it does not belong to ITV
2) what is the purpose of Cat Deeley? She's just telling us what we already know.
3) its on far too much in one weekend!
4) ITV are cashing in with a premium rate phone quiz throughout the show. Calls costing £1 and today's question being "Who had an album called Breakaway?" "A) Someone B) Kelly Clarkson C) Fantasia Barrino

My question is, why can't they just broadcast it the same as in previous years. Perhaps I'm just moaning for the sake of it but it nags me!

Cat Deely apparently does links for the UK version.. and theirs no point! As their is the US male presenter for most of the show.. ITV 2 + 1 probably have it becase Simon Cowell works with them.

It alright for them to have it on at the weekend I think, because they don't have barely anything else to show in the afternoons/ mornings.

It's good for ITV2 - never been sure about it airing on ITV1 as well.

Firstly, it takes the shine off the ITV2 schedule - and secondly ITV1's weekend schedule is now pretty unimaginative.

It doesn't suit an ITV1 Saturday lunchtime slot - it's much better at 8pm on Friday on ITV2.

I dont think they should show it on ITV1 either. One afternoon I remember seeing it scheduled for 3 hours which seems a bit much.

It was on this Saturday as well as Sunday which is what got me annoyed. Saturday's repeat was followed by Richard Arsehold and 'Animals Dub the Funniest Things' - another American show spanked on for a British audience....despite the fact its crap anyway. Rolling Eyes I'd rather watch Dickie Davies than some monkey playing with his genitals.

Does anyone have a clip of the monkey playing with Mr Davies's gentials - I missed that! Shocked Shocked

Cat's links were pointless during the audtions and now she's interviewing the acts before/after they go on stage - it's made the whole show too-tedious now, not to mention the additional ad-breaks. It worked perfectly fine when it was just an edited repeat from America, plus it didn't go on all bloody night long.

I dont mind them showing Primeval on a Sunday afternoon as it gives people a chance to watch the show that missed it the night before. However all this just highlights the fact ITV have nothing new to screen on Sunday afternoons. Bring back the regional slots!

Cat's links might be there so that it's almost an import but not completely.Although maybe they don't need to show the american host aswell.
