hehe... sums it up really... Who gives a **** if people can sing elvis songs. Summit you'd find on Friendly TV or Life TV. Not the main terrestrial channels.

I can't see them seriously thinking of changing the name from ITV seeing as they went through quite alot of hassle with SMG to be able to use the name "ITV", it would be a waste to change it now.

They are managing to establish it as a brand (after the disaster of ITV/ON Digital). Admittedly though, it doesn't really "mean" anything as such, since it is now a family of channels rather than just THE "Independent Television" broadcaster amongst many others available on digital.

Many well known brands in TV don't really have any logical sense though, for example:

CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System) - bears no relation to its purpose as a national broadcaster.
Granada - A region in Spain
FOX - a wild animal known for scavenging

I think they'll just stick with ITV Confused
