You do realise that is a standardised e-mail, don't you? You will probably get a proper e-mail written by a person in about two or three days. That's exactly the response I get when asking about South East Today, but then I got a personal letter from the English Regions director two days later.

Yeah. But the fact is it is going to an Investigation team means something. Although, you could be right.
It's a good point to look at though for the beeb.
My dad, when I got home stopped me, and told me that the greeks have stolen BBC idents. I was amazed at how he knew, but he told me it was on the news. I was a bit annoyed, as they said nothing about me, but then I realised that he read the email sent to me, and he was playing me for a fool. Huh!
Well, i'm guillable though. Apparently they've taken it out of the dictionary...
That's my joke!!! Everyone usually falls for it, as well!

I recently emailied the BBC after seeing the idents on this site, concering ALPHA's ident.
What did you ask when you wrote to them Nick?
ALPHA only showed the idents for around a couple of weeks back in October last year - and then replaced them with a longer version of their break-bumper (which to my mind looks suspiciously like the current C4 ones - but that's just my opinion).
In their letter to me they said that they had already been informed of the similarities, so I guess someone pounced on them. Also, as I also pointed out in this forum, the images were posted in one of the British trade papers - so I think at least someone at the Beeb will have seen them there.
I almost wish now that I hadn't posted them here as I would hate to think that there may be repercussions for me or my site. Oh well, etsi einai i zoi.

Wouldn't have thought that you'd have any trouble Andrew, the beeb probably already know about it, but if there are any problems, Alpha will have bigger problems than worrying about you. And besides you did what they asked, we just happened to see your site last year before you took them down!

Does, or can anyone get the screenshot of ALPHA's blade ident?
It would be very handy for me to use in future.
You could send it to:
gpsn@dalbys80.fsnet.co.uk and mark subject as ALPHA Blade ident still
Thanks,
I won't mention your name, unless you want me to.

As most, if not all, the images of the Alpha idents that you have seen on this forum and in other locales have been captured and posted by me, I'm surprised you haven't asked me directly. Why, I'm not sure.
But to save you time, I'll just say this: I posted the images and links as a favour/kindness/service (whatever you'd like to call it) to the members of this forum so that they could have interesting insight in to what happens elsewhere in the TV world and have a discussion about it.
It may seem somewhat hypocritical to have done this, considering that I was asked to remove them from my site, but I thought that at least the people here would be able to treat the subject maturely and in a decent manner. (As most have.)
I did
not
post them so that they would be skived off and used for another person's use on the web or otherwise, and would therefore greatly appreciate it if you didn't.
I'm sorry if you don't like what I have written, but I feel strongly about this. Having been the one to share my find, I really don't want it used by others and I hope you are able to understand this.

If you diidn't want other people to use this,
then don't post them
. I am going to a meeting at the BBC concerning personal things. I would have also pointed this out to the BBC when I was there.
And, no I don't like that you have put, as you are wrong. If you post a picture, then decline to share it when asked, why show it in the first place?
I was not going to put it on a website, as I don't have a website involved with television at all.
Don't jump to conclusions,
and I won't bark
Children, children, firstly Andrew a little hard, but overall fair, they are your clips and you were risking a bit posting them here, as an informative peice. Nick, so unbelieveably out of order with that post, they are Andrews clips and they were just posted here to let us know how dodgy Alpha are, and the way you were going on warrented a warning, possible a bit heavy handed but thats his porogative(****
e spelling I know). Both of you chill out, but Nick maybe edit that message?
