I was listening to the BBC World Service last night (what?!) and I noticed that The World Tonight (think that's the name - it's on at 5.00GMT) is preceded by a great little audio sting with lots of people from round the world saying 'This is the BBC World Service from [city]' I've heard two variations so far, they mention Delhi, Toronto, Dar-Es-Salaam, and some others. The programme also has a great orchestral theme tune.

I just got to thinking that this would be a great style for BBC World to use, it would work just as well on TV (see I told you it was relevant) and could easily replace the current look - It's too much to ask them to bring back the flags (why DID they get rid of them?) but this would be just as good.

That could work... cos I want to be the guy who says 'from Vancouver...' Wink

Hold that! On second thought, my voice is terrible...

I think it's Toronto, not Vancouver, unless Canada is greedy and has two different bureaux.

Either way - bring it on!
Flags, orchestas, names of cities, all over World and N24 - woo hoo!
