Richard Gibson was interviewed, but no appearance by Herr Flick. Complete absence of Kim "Helga" Hartman, Gavin "Captain Bertorelli" Richards and Ken "Flockenstoffen" Morley Confused Or Maria?

Well:

Marai isn;t she now a nun?

Herr flick: will he should be in Jail! as he was a Gastbo office

Captain Bertorelli: shoudl be back in italy

Kim "Helga" Hartman I have no idea why she not there, probaly back in Germany

The actress who played Maria (Francesca Gonshaw) doesn't seem to have done anything since 'Allo 'Allo except for appearing in Howard's Way

She left because she didn't want to be type-cast .. but as you say, has appeared in nothing since. Her leaving was brushed over in a matter of seconds in the programme: Edith announces that she attempted to post herself somewhere and died as a result; they light a candle, then blow it out and get on with their work. If my memory serves me correctly.

IMDb doesn't have anything of any sort for her post-1990: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0327386/

I remember hearing somewhere that he didn't like playing the character after a certain amount of time, so perhaps he just didn't want to reprise the role yet again.

As for the show, it was embarassingly bad, but quite a laugh. God knows why they did it, as it was nowhere near the top of the list of shows people wanted to be brought back, but it was a good nights TV Smile

So they've done this for The Goodies, Swap Shop (et al) and 'Allo 'Allo. (And all with different production companies, oddly.) Seeing as they're making a habit of this, what do we think will be next for this treatment? Tomorrow's World, perhaps?

Blue Peter will be having a reunion next year for their 50th but then they always do that for their big birthdays.

wonder if they'll invite Richard Bacon Wink

the Allo Allo Absence I noticed was Von Smallhausen.

I was also wondering why there was a German staff car in the studio which wasn't used (you could see it when Crabtree walks off the set to teach the 'peasants' English

Haha. Hes with Konnie in a relationship at the moment anyway. So im sure hes still in contact with the production team. He's currently working on Five Live too so its not as if the BBC banned him!

I read a simular thing except (from wikipedia so it may be innacurate):

She disappeared at the end of the 3rd season of Allo Allo, after disguising herself as a Red Cross parcel, however she didn't put enough postage on the outside and so she was sent back to Switzerland

According to a Yahoo Q&A thing http://sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070428134103AAd8jOi the last entrant seems to think she passed away Shocked

And according to this http://www.eofftv.com/names/g/gon/gonshaw_francesca_main.htm she was last in "Goose Creek Story" in 2001 although I can't find any reference to the film online

some dozy bozo on any answers is confusing maria with Francesca Gonshaw. Confused

Maria would be about 80 now as she was in her 20s in allo allo

Franchesca Gonshaw would be in her late 30s as she was in her 20s in the early 80s Rolling Eyes

I thought they may have mentioned the absence of Edith

Yes I noticed that, was odd. I think we were supposed to assume that Rene was married to Yvette.

I though Helga would be mentioned, since she had got married to Gruber in the very last episode in 1992!

Hmm the 'final' episode in 1992 & this special do not seem to tally, continuity wise!

Wasn't the final episode partly set in present day France & featured Rene & Yvette running off together & Von Strom acting as chauffer to a now married Gruber & Helga?

(I've only ever seen the final episode transmitted once, first time round. Has it ever been repeated?)

Other than that, I enjoyed it.
