Maybe I've just had a really long day, but I found it hysterically funny in many places - literally couldn't stop laughing. Better at least than that other spectacularly dreadful 'comedy' The Crouches .
Oh God, I need a holiday.

Just how did this sitcom get commissioned, not for one, but TWO series? Is it to fill part of BBC1's remit?
I mean, talk about overdoing the PC! They've covered about every minority group, and yet managed to remain hideously unfunny.

I have never really sat down and watched and episode of this sitcom, but I saw a clip of it on Breakfast the other week and it looked quite funny, it was from the first episode of this series with the porridge bit. But again I don't believe it is the funniest thing that Jasper Carrott has ever done, but I'd rather see a repeat of The Detectives as he was very funny in that.

The best things Jasper's done is his 'nutter on the bus' story, his 'insomnia' routine as shown on 24 Carrott Gold and pretty much all of 'One Jasper Carrott'!!
I didn't see All About Me tonight, I was busy with hospital radio.....

I'd have to say one of the funniest things he did was Back To the Front in 1999, it has been shown loads on BBC One, Thank God, including tips of how to record satellite TV and how to get £2.50 out of Robert Powell.

I think you can get Back to the Front on Tape and CD, but from what I saw it wasn't cheap.
On the same theme I remember once I went into our local video shop and they had one of Jasper Carrott's LWT shows on video, but it was over 20 years old, considering it was called Weekend Video. But though the best place for Jasper Carrott stand up is Granada Plus, suprisingly.

I didn't think I'd find "All About Me" funny, but I did. Particularly the scene in this weeks episode, where Colin
taught one of his building site colleagues, a few words of Punjabi, but the wrong English meanings for them.
BTW . . . . . . "Dollocks!"
(You won't understand that unless you actually watched the whole episode.)

It's never Jasper's best work but I like the man's other work (ie, the Detectives and others) and comedy so that's okay. It's not the best sitcom ever but I do agree that it's better than the Office. It's written by Steven Knight, All About Me, the name sounds familiar, what else has he done?
